After testing many netbook, we come to the conclusion that netbook prices would not be far ranging in number $400. With a similar component-like, the factors that differentiate between netbook, at best, only hard drive capacity, battery capacity, and completeness of supporting facilities.

But we were wrong. Chameleon series is the N610 Byon-A XPGA abort above theory. USD in numbers. $380, this netbook is the cheapest of all the netbooks on the market today.

Perhaps because of the small hard drive? Not really. Byon disk capacity is equivalent to other netbooks, the 160GB. Capacity was 4400 mAh battery, even larger than some netbooks that only 3600 mAh. Netbook standard facilities were still there, ranging from WiFi, Ethernet, webcam and card reader. Even this netbook provides more facilities than the standard netbook, such as Bluetooth and dial-up modem. Okay, dial-up modem may be rarely used, but certainly a lot of Bluetooth need to exchange data with mobile phones and Bluetooth devices to another.

Netbooks with 10.2-inch screen is also fully equipped with operating system Windows XP Home Edition. For application support, Byon includes Kaspersky antivirus and Microsoft Works. The latter is a simplified version of Microsoft Office, which consists of document editing applications, databases, spreadsheets, calendar, and dictionary. But if you want to use an alternative operating system, at the Chameleon Byon Driver CD Recovery is FOS. This Linux-based OS can boot via USB flash, so you still have alternatives even if no external optical device.

Chameleon fairly good performance. Rely on Intel Atom N270 processor and 2 GB memory DDR2-667MHz, this netbook has a capacity slightly better than Zyrex Bee 103G. Another important thing to note is the resistance in the battery mode that reaches 3.5 hours when playing 720p HD video.

Byon Chameleon comes in glossy black casing latter's increasingly ngetren. The design is slightly raised on the back to accommodate the size of a large battery. When trying to type, we do not feel the difficulty. The size of each key feels right, as well as the repulsion when pressed. One thing that slightly disturbing is the Shift key on the left side of the rather small so that could create awkward. But after used, the problem is no longer disturbing.
